I’m Sonja, founder of Nurture, ardent lover of butter, candlelight and singing in harmony. Card carrying INFJ/Manifesting Generator. A ‘food storyteller’ at heart, I create custom menus and food experiences using food as a tool for connection and can’t wait to connect with all of you! I’m also excited to be building towards my dream of running a Nurture Farmhouse ‘coworking B&B’.

I’m Steph, a photographer and business coach for thoughtful entrepreneurs. With my photography, I try to capture candid moments of true joy & connection, whether I’m documenting your creative business, a fun event, or a couple in love. In business, my goal is to make your business more sustainable, more expansive, and ultimately more fun for you by streamlining your systems, supporting your business strategy, and helping you prioritize your self-care. My podcast, Slowpreneur: Business without the Busy, aims to spark conversations about new ways of living and working that support and honour our humanity. In my spare time, you can find me reading romance novels and spending time with my dog Bruno (preferably simultaneously!). I also love swimming, exploring beautiful cities, and going out for tacos and margaritas.

I’m Lashawna, founder of Nurture with Botanics, a wellness tea company. I love creating slow, restorative moments that nourish the body and soul, whether it’s through a comforting cup of tea or taking time to reconnect with yourself and others. I hope to see Nurture with Botanics grow into a welcoming space (or even a mobile space!), where people can connect with plant medicine through drinks, food, and meaningful connection. I’m always down for an adventure and love learning new things. More often than not, I’ll give anything a try… at least once! I love working with my hands in the kitchen, not just handcrafting teas, but also creating delicious meals and treats. You’ll often find me outside, soaking in nature, enjoying the changing seasons, or tending to my garden with my sweet little boy.

Hello beautiful souls!
My name is Danielle and I am honoured to walk with the blessings of the earth, to inspire living a life of reverence, attuned to the rhythms of the natural world. I am a yoga and meditation teacher with a deep love for the moon and flowers, as guides to support wellness through cyclical self awareness. I am also an intuitive flower spirit guide, and creator of The Wild Kinship, a bespoke collection of ceremonial flower essences, which I wildcraft in partnership with the land, where I live.
I am passionate about weaving community and gathering women in circle and ceremony, to guide
re-memberance of the wisdom of the rhythms of nature. Cyclical wisdom that also lives within us all, in the expression of our true nature as women and creative beings.
I offer the teachings of moon and flower to harmonize spirit and anchor inherent wisdom, to act as companion on the present path and to bless the way forward. Teachings which inspire a rhythmic intelligence that enlivens deeper connection to Self and an increased capacity to navigate the seasons of life with easeful presence, beauty and grace.
My current home is the Scarborough Highlands, a historical name for the area now known as The Bluffs, where the land and my beloved meadow offer me daily divination. Walking the path with earth, moon and flower kin and my faithful canine companion, Lula. I live with my husband and am grateful for the biggest blessing of our three children, now teenagers, who continue to inspire my becoming.

Hi everyone! I’m Abby. A dear friend once told me ‘go towards beauty’, as her parting words to me before she died. I am currently spending my twenties sorting out what that means to me, in the midst of the complexities and tragedies of life, both in near and global circles. Despite it all, I think beauty is a good compass. We need beauty to stay connected to humanity, and we need it to make meaning in seemingly ordinary, rote moments. My very favourite game in life is to take necessary elements of daily life – work, showering, eating, drinking coffee, commuting – and work to make them as magical and meaningful as possible. I deeply enjoy day-to-day life, more days than not, which feels pretty awesome. Some of my favourite practices that celebrate beauty are baking sourdough and focaccia, beading, making playlists as love letters to friends, photographing love stories of all kinds, sitting with elders and hearing their life stories, watching the sun dance on the water, and making people coffee that matches their mood. Nurture feels like an extension of everything I love and value, but with an extra sprinkle of intention and of course Sonja’s magical touch that brings out the best, most tender version of everyone she meets. I am so excited to both document and bask in the beauty and spirit that is Nurture.
We’re so excited to introduce you to your fellow retreaters! Watch this space as new folks join to get to know them before the retreat.

Hi I’m Jamie! I run my own dreamy massage practice in Warkworth Ontario aka Stars Hollow. I’m really into walks in the forest, coffee dates with friends, connecting with people in all sorts of capacities, and cooking. I have a wood stove which makes cooking so fun and cozy in the colder seasons. I have been wanting to join a Nurture retreat for years and I’m so excited that it’s finally my time! I’m excited to connect with people, spend time with my good pal, and to eat Sonjas food. I’ve been through it this year so I’m really looking forward the intentional space to rest and be taken care of.

Hi, I’m Sarah! I am a former journalist and tech content marketer who is now in the process of opening her first business, a new bookstore in smalltown Warkworth, Ontario. I have two young kids at home, and aside from spending time with them, I love to read as much as possible, and watch lots of prestige and terrible television. I’m excited to attend Nurture because I’m just beginning my journey as an entrepreneur and I’m seeking inspiration from other incredible women, and also a chance to rest and unwind before my store opens.

Hi, I’m Louise! I am a retired mom with grown children who is in the process of finding out who I am now and how I want to lead in this next phase of my life. I am exploring my creative side through writing, journalling and doodling. I am really enjoying my Pilates classes and a freestyle dance group that meets for two hours every weekend. I’ve started reading fiction again (I prefer paper books because I just do) and I’ve rediscovered theatre and music. I am excited to attend because I love to play, yet seem to need “permission” and some structure to do so. I’m excited for the sessions and to be in a new space meeting new people. And, of course, the food. Yum!

Hi I’m Heather! I’m a semi-retired copywriter and volunteer settlement worker for refugees and newcomers. I have a 28-year [mostly happy] marriage, two semi-adult kids, and a dog and cat. I’m at a point of complicated life changes and I’m looking for quiet time alone, but I’m also looking for LOUD laughter with fun people. I love messy stories, dirty jokes and fallible humans.

Hi, I’m Margaret! I live in downtown Hamilton with my husband Connor, our two cats Simon & Remy, and our miniature wiener dog Daphne. I’m endlessly inspired by design, interiors, stationery, and all things vintage ephemera. I love a good rom-com, a big mug of coffee, and those deep conversations that make you lose track of time (preferably over a cocktail & appetizer). After running my stationery business Party Mountain Paper Co. for eight years, I recently made a big life pivot and launched Lucky Goods Paper — a brand that feels much more aligned with me now. I’m still finding my footing as I figure out what it means to create authentically and sustainably, and I’m learning to let go of who I think I should be in order to embrace who I really am. Hamilton itself is a big source of inspiration for me. Connor and I are passionate about building community here — hosting events, creating spaces for connection, and just leaning more into the joy of letting things be.

Hi, I’m Laura! I am so excited to be part of this event and this community. I love gathering with a group of women and I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing your stories. I am many things including a wife and mom to 2 amazing girls, 11 and 14. We recently moved to Muskoka from the GTA and could not be happier. My dream was to live nestled in the trees and dreams do come true. I have a few modalities under my belt and I am in the beginning stages of starting my own business. I am an EFT practitioner and cold plunge facilitator. I have also trained in holistic nutrition and am a culinary nutrition expert. I love food and photography and am a tad obsessed with animals. My chickens bring me so much joy. I also love hosting women’s groups and events and am exploring ways to do more of that. I believe that life should feel magical and it’s moments like these that prove that it’s possible.

Hi, I’m Imke! I am fairly new to Canada – and thoroughly enjoying creating a new home here with my husband. I am a passionate foodie and chef – and this tends to decorate my life on the career side as well as the social and home front. I love making new friends, nurturing older/life long friendships, and building community. I enjoy entertaining, exercising, travelling – and – eating well!!
she/her |@katieharrisonphoto
Hi, I’m Katie 🥰 I’m a nostalgic, sensitive, sunset (and sunrise) lover – all of which comes in really handy as a family and wedding photographer ☺️ I love making art, writing, dirt roads, rolling hills, and long walks in the forest. And eating!
